At West Miami Middle School we promote literacy by providing a rich and diverse collection of books, guiding students in their book selection, and supporting classroom literacy initiatives. We also support students in the process of inquiry by recommending reliable information resources, encouraging critical analysis of resources, and collaborating with classroom teachers.
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the Miami Dade Public Library System by adding access to their K-12 digital library. All students can now access eBooks and eAudiobooks through their school’s Destiny library catalog, or at the axis360 digital media library website. (We should add link: http://md6961.axis360.baker-taylor.com/ These titles can be checked out at any time, even when your library is closed! This digital library will provide students, with current, relevant and high interest eBooks and eAudiobooks. To look up an ebook, go to http://read.dadeschools.net. You must select our school name after clicking on the icon.
